Payroll Officer

Your Role

As a Payroll Officer, you play a crucial role within our HR team and directly contribute to the success of Europal. You are responsible for the accurate and timely processing of our payroll administration, ensuring it complies with legal requirements and internal guidelines.

Your Responsibilities

Payroll Processing:

• Collecting, verifying, and processing salary data, primarily using GPS, our electronic time registration system.

• Accurate management of payroll documentation in accordance with regulations.

Compliance:

• Staying actively informed about payroll-related laws and regulations.

• Assisting in audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Acting as a point of contact for employees with payroll-related questions. For this, you travel at least bi-weekly to the two sites in Mouscron and Blandain.

• Collaborating with HR and Finance to accurately process personnel data.

Reporting:

• Preparing and analyzing payroll reports and cost overviews.

• Providing insights to management on payroll costs and trends.

Data Management:

• Maintaining payroll master data in HR systems such as Officient.

• Ensuring efficient information flow between departments.

• Thanks to your bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar role (minimum 3 years), you immediately impress us.

• Your experience ensures that you are familiar with payroll software, HR systems, time registration, and you are advanced in MS Excel.

• As a payroll officer, you are knowledgeable about Belgian social legislation.

• Salaries are important! You are aware that this requires the necessary focus, seriousness, accuracy, and attention to detail.

• When it comes to payroll closing, think of deadlines. Stress resistance is therefore your middle name.

• You see a problem as a challenge, and with your strong problem-solving skills, they are quickly resolved.

• You work with various people, so communication skills and integrity are qualities that are attributed to you.

• As a language talent, you have no trouble switching between Dutch and French (oui, tu m’entends bien, tu es parfaitement bilingue!😊), and you also have a basic knowledge of English.

• Employees need to know they are important and want to see you occasionally to discuss their concerns or thoughts. Therefore, you travel at least bi-weekly to our production sites in Blandain and Mouscron.
