Quality Engineer
As a Quality Engineer at Europal, you are responsible for monitoring, safeguarding and improving quality standards within the production process. You coordinate a team of 4 quality employees and work closely with Production, R&D, Supply Chain and other departments to detect non-conformities, analyze root causes and implement structural improvements. In this way, you translate quality standards into practical solutions. You communicate smoothly with different teams, work proactively and analytically, and always think one step ahead. From raw material to finished product, you are the guardian of quality.
Job description
- Quality management and assurance of processes and products
- Development, implementation and follow up of quality procedures, work instructions and control plans
- Monitoring of production and process quality in line with internal standards and customer requirements
- Management of non conformities and complaints (internal, customers and suppliers) within quality follow up
- Analysis and continuous improvement through internal and external audits and root cause analysis
- Preparation, coordination and follow up of internal and external audits
- Initiation and follow up of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Monitoring supplier and customer quality, including complaint handling and customer satisfaction
- Management of incoming quality controls and supplier evaluations
- Collaboration with suppliers to improve quality within the supply chain
- Close collaboration with Production, R&D, Prevention Advisor and Supply Chain
- Training and raising awareness of employees on quality mindset
- Leading the Quality team
- Reporting and KPI follow up
Knowledge and skills
- Master’s degree in a technical field (engineering or equivalent through experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an engineer in an industrial environment
- Proven experience with quality procedures, budget management and project coordination
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, BRC
- Good command of French and English (Dutch is a plus but not required)
- Strong cross-functional teamwork skills
- Strong communication and persuasion skills
